Rating
Rating tells you how good a player is. It is calculated by looking at the number of won and lost games.
The higher the rating, the better the player. That is why it is always possible to find an opponent who suits your level.
If you would like to play for money we recommend especially in the beginning, that you play against players with lower ratings than yourself.
It is to be mentioned, however, that you improve your play faster when playing against better players.
Pips
During a match you can use the automatic count of pips. Pips tell you how many points your checkers have left in total before they are all home.
This can roughly be used to see who is leading, but not necessarily who stands the best.
