Bear off
If all your checkers are in your home field you can bear them off. If you throw for example a 4 and a 1 like indicated below, you can bear off one checker of position 4. If you would have had one on position 1, you could also have beard this one off. Since this is not the case, you must instead move one of the other checkers one position.
Assuming you have checkers on the positions 1-4 only, and you are throwing a 3 and a 5. Exactly as in the previous example, you may bear off one checker of position 3 then, and with the 5 you may bear off one checker of position 4, since you don’t have any of your checkers on position 5 or 6. In case of a throw with the same eye numbers, you may bear off 4 checkers under the rules described before.
